What this means for Private Banking customers.

We are writing to Private Banking customers to let them know what the changes mean for them. Not all customers who hold accounts at branches that are included in the transfer will be transferring with the branch.

If your account is being transferred

Some accounts held by Private Banking customers will transfer to the new owner. If your account is transferring you can carry on banking as you do now, using the same account number and sort code, branch, Internet Banking, Telephone Banking and cash machine services.

Your branch will not close as part of the move to TSB and we intend to transfer TSB to the new owner by the end of 2013.

We will keep you up to date about any changes that affect you before they happen and we’ll be working hard over the coming months to make the transfer as smooth as possible.

If your account is not being transferred

The new owner will not offer a bespoke Private Banking service so to continue your existing relationship we may need to move your account to a branch that is not transferring, so that you can remain with Lloyds Banking Group. If we move your account your sort code and account numbers will change. We will write to you well in advance to let you know if you are affected, your new details and when the changes will take place.

You can continue to use your Private Banking account as normal, and all the services you rely on – like Internet Banking and Telephone Banking – will continue to work just as they do now.

Some Lloyds TSB branches that you use may become TSB branches so you won’t be able to use them for all your banking anymore. There will still be over 1,200 Lloyds TSB branches that you can use for day-to-day banking, and you’ll be able to use Cashpoint® machines, Internet Banking and Telephone Banking in the same way, as you do now.

A full range of services and products

The branches and accounts included in the transfer will become part of a fully functioning bank with more than 8000 staff, over 600 branches, internet banking and telephone banking.

The transfer includes:
